Interface: a journal for and about social movements is produced by movement activists and engaged researchers as an open-access (free), online, global and multilingual peer-reviewed journal focussing on social movement practice. Its purpose is to help movements learn from each other's struggles across different regions of the world, across different movements and political traditions, across linguistic barriers and between different intellectual traditions and academic disciplines. Having just published its fifth issue, Interface has a series of calls for papers out simultaneously:
The season of revolution: the Arab Spring (deadline November 2011)
Extended deadline: activist debate on feminist strategies for change (deadline September 2011)
Each issue of Interface also accepts general material. It publishes in a wide range of formats and many languages; for more detail see the guidelines for contributors.
